ПРОБЛЕМА ОСВІТИ ЛЮДЕЙ ПОХИЛОГО ВІКУ В НАУКОВИХ ПУБЛІКАЦІЯХ 1970-90-х рр.
Анотація
Глобальною проблемою ХХІ ст. є стрімке старіння населення, що створює суспільству багато викликів політичного, економічного та соціального характеру. Одне з основних завдань суспільства – забезпечення соціальної адаптації та інтеграції людей похилого віку, збереження людського потенціалу. Теоретичні і практичні дослідження доводять, що освіта у похилому віці – ефективний адаптаційний механізм, спосіб подальшого розвитку і самореалізації особистості. У статті визначено основні напрями наукових досліджень з проблеми освіти людей похилого віку в розвинених країнах світу на соціально-педагогічному етапі її розвитку, проаналізовано провідні ідеї та набутки освітньої геронтології цього періоду, узагальнено головні результати вивчення проблеми навчання осіб похилого віку, визначено характерні особливості образу «старшого дорослого учня».

Глобальной проблемой XXI века является стремительное старение населения, что создает обществу много вызовов политического, экономического и социального характера. Одна из главных задач общества – обеспечение социальной адаптации и интеграции пожилых людей, сохранение человеческого потенциала. Теоретические и практические исследования показывают, что образование в пожилом воздасте – это эффективный адаптационный механизм, способ дальнейшего развития и самореализации личности. В статье определены основные направления научных исследований по проблеме образования пожилых людей в развитых странах на социально-педагогическом этапе его развития, проанализированы ведущие идеи и достижения образовательной геронтологии этого периода, обобщенны главные результаты изучения проблемы обучения пожилых людей, определёны характерные черты портрета «старшего взрослого ученика».

Rapidly ageing population, which is one of the global challenges of the XXI century, creates many challenges in political, economic and social life. One of the main objectives of society is providing social adaptation and integration of the elderly and the preservation of human potential. Theoretical and practical studies show that education in later life can be an effective adaptive mechanism for further personal growth and development of society. The article defines the main directions of scientific research on the issue of education elderly in the developed countries at the socio-pedagogical stage of its development. Leading ideas and achievements of educational gerontology of this period have been analyzed; synthesis of the main results of the study on education elderly has been made; main features to the portrayal of older adult learner in the publications have been found out.
