VIRTUAL COMMUNITIES AS CARRIERS OF NEW VALUES IN THE DIGITAL AGE
Abstract
The article is devoted to analyzing virtual communities’ role in forming new value orientations in the modern information society. The theoretical foundations and socio-philosophical aspects of the functioning of virtual communities, as well as their influence on the processes of cultural creation and the transformation of social relations, are considered. It studied how digital platforms become an environment for developing new forms of social interaction, supporting subjective well-being, and creating collective identity. The importance of virtual communities as tools of globalization that promote interaction between different cultures and social groups is emphasized. The article also discusses future trends in the development of virtual communities, particularly the use of the latest technologies, such as augmented and virtual reality, and the impact of these communities on the formation of new social norms and ethical standards in the digital age. The research results can be used to develop strategies for effectively managing virtual communities and supporting their sustainability in the conditions of globalization.
