STUDY OF THE QUALITY OF MEMORY OF MUSICAL WORKS’ NOTE TEXT BY STUDENTS OF FACULTIES OF ARTS IN THE PROCESS OF INSTRUMENTAL TRAINING
Abstract
The article substantiates the criteria for the quality of memorizing the notational text of musical works by students of arts faculties during instrumental training, among which is the perfection of the reproduction of pitch signs of musical works’ notational text in the course of classroom/home work on it; the degree of reproduction of the metro-rhythmic features of the sheet music of musical works in the process of classroom/home work on it and the degree of achievement of error-free reproduction of the musical works’ sheet music by students of arts faculties in the process of their integral performance in conditions of public performances. The expediency of setting indicators according to these criteria when perceiving the sheet music text of musical works during their first reading, when performing it by heart the day before and during the final form of reporting (credit or exam) is emphasized. Technologies for diagnosing the quality of memorizing the sheet music of musical works have been developed and the levels of the studied phenomenon have been delineated (high level, medium level, low level and very low level). It was experimentally proven that the general level of quality of memorization of sheet music texts by students of arts faculty is unsatisfactory, which requires the development of effective methods for targeted improvement of the studied phenomenon.
