DERMATOPATHIES AS MANIFESTATIONS OF PARANEOPLASTIC SYNDROME – PROBLEM ASPECTS OF DIAGNOSTICS

Abstract


The subject of the study is paraneoplastic hyperkeratosis of the palms and soles. The purpose of the work is to clarify the role of the presence of malignant skin tumors on the development of dermatopathies as manifestations of the paraneoplastic syndrome. A 73-year-old patient with symmetrically localized clinical manifestations of hyperkeratosis (palms and soles), allergic vasculitis and varicose veins (shins), telangiectasias (feet), neoplasms (back), depigment spots (widespread vitiligo) on the skin, anamnestically established influence on their development of a complex of aggravating factors (genetic, social, neoplastic, vascular, melanogenesis). A positive effect regarding the course of palmar-plantar hyperkeratosis after surgical removal of malignant tumors gave grounds for establishing a diagnosis of psoriasiform parakeratosis of the palms and was considered as a manifestation of dermatopathy in paraneoplastic syndrome.
