IMPLEMENTATION OF PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR THE FORMATION OF LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL IN FUTURE PRINCIPAL SPECIALISTS IN A PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION
Abstract
The article is devoted to the actual problem of the formation of leadership potential in future penitentiary specialists in a specialized institution of higher education. It is claimed by the author that the relevance of the mentioned problem is obvious, because in connection with the increase in the requirements for the professionalism of the personnel of the criminal enforcement service and the dynamic reorganization of the penitentiary system of Ukraine, there is the need to reassess the professional activity of the penitentiary from the executive level to the priority of active, independent and responsible work, which is characteristic of a leader. The article reveals the essence of the key concepts of the raised problem (leadership, leader, leadership potential, leadership potential of the future penitentiary specialist). The structure of the leadership potential of future penitentiary specialists is presented as a set of interconnected and interdependent components: motivational and intentional, cognitive and intellectual, operational and procedural, personal and self-creative, reflective and regulatory.
The following pedagogical conditions for the formation of leadership potential in future specialists of the penitentiary system of Ukraine are defined: ensuring the professional orientation of the recipients of the specified education for leadership training and stimulating them to professional self-improvement in the specified direction; acquisition of leadership competencies by future specialists in the process of professional training; creating situations in various types of professional training (educational, disciplinary, research, cadet and student self-government, social activities, practical training, etc.) that require the externalization of leadership potential. Educational and methodological tools for the implementation of these conditions are presented (exercises, interactive and situational methods, coaching, reflective polylogue, etc.). The obtained data testify to the effectiveness of the selected toolkit for pedagogical provision of the specified conditions for the formation of leadership potential in future specialists of the penitentiary system of Ukraine.
