THE UNITED STATES FOREIGN POLICY SOFT POWER IN REGARD TO LATIN AMERICA UNDER THE DONALD TRUMP ADMINISTRATION

Abstract


Formulation of the problem: The constituents of the soft power concept within the realization of the smart power strategy by political actors. Purpose of the research: External U. S. Relations with Latin America and the Caribbean under the Barack Obama Administration. Research methods: The following research methods were used to address the issues set in the article: general scientific methods - descriptive, hermeneutic-political, systemic, structural-functional, comparative. The article is based on the theoretical and methodological researches of the scientific problem, the generalization of the foreign and domestic political scientists  points of view and the fact resources such as strategic documents.

У статті розглядається складові концепту м’якої сили в межах реалізації політичними акторами стратегії smart power. Особливу увагу акцентовано на впливі ґлобальних подій. Перевага надавалася методу політико-системного аналізу, за допомогою якого було виявлено спільні та відмінні характеристики базових складових стратегій «м’якої сили», що відображають існуючі політичні, суспільні, інформаційні та інші виклики для міжнародних відносин та глобального розвитку. Розглядаються складові зовнішньополітичного курсу США щодо країн Латинської Америки, «м’яку силу» розглядають у фокусі глобальних соціально-політичних, економічних і культурних процесів.
